The sprocket is not located by a keyway and is free to rotate on the Crankshaft when the Crankshaft Pulley Bolt is loosened. Any movement of the Crankshaft Sprocket will result in a loss of engine timing. To prevent unwanted movement during normal operation the Crankshaft Pulley Bolt is installed to a very high torque loading. To ensure that the bolt is removed and installed correctly a 5:1 Torque Multiplier with associated Mounting Brackets must be used.
