NILCO

Nilco products on this page divide into three Nilglass Glass & Mirror Cleaner sizes and four Power Fresh air-freshener fragrances. Nilglass is listed in a 500 ml trigger bottle, one-litre bottle and five-litre bulk container. Power Fresh comes as 750 ml aerosols in Citrus, Cranberry, Lavender and Spring Bouquet. The liquid cleaner is for removing grease, dirt and marks from supported glass, mirrors and reflective hard surfaces; the aerosols provide a high-volume fragrance burst for large industrial or janitorial areas. Neither product family substitutes for the other.

Choose Nilglass by surface, soil, dispensing format and cleaning method; choose Power Fresh by area, ventilation, occupancy, fragrance policy and the exact aerosol safety data. The current AutoMotoPart selection contains 7 Nilco items, led by 4 fragrance-aerosol entries and 3 glass-cleaner entries. These Nilco figures describe the range on this page rather than every product the brand may make elsewhere.

Nilco's Nilglass instructions say to use it sparingly, work a manageable area with a soft lint-free absorbent cloth, then buff dry while turning the cloth. The product should not be diluted, used in strong direct sunlight or allowed to dry on the surface. Test an inconspicuous area where coatings, tint films, plastics, screens or polished finishes may be sensitive. For the five-litre pack, decant only into a clean compatible labelled trigger bottle and close the bulk cap promptly. Do not reuse food or drink containers.

Power Fresh should not be used to conceal a fuel, drain, mould, overheating or chemical odour that needs investigation. Ventilate, remove people who may be sensitive to fragrance, keep the aerosol away from heat, ignition and direct sunlight, and never spray towards faces, animals, food, hot surfaces or live work. Follow the can for burst duration and room re-entry rather than using a long consumer-style spray by assumption. Store all products upright and secure. The guide below is neutral; the exact Nilco label, current safety data and workplace COSHH assessment control use.

Nilco: understand the range before choosing

Nilco supplies professional housekeeping products. The current AutoMotoPart page contains two unrelated functions: H3 Nilglass liquid cleaner for glass, mirrors and supported hard non-porous surfaces, and H12 Power Fresh 750 ml air-freshener aerosols in citrus, cranberry, lavender and spring fragrances. Cleaner format, aerosol hazards and intended outcome must remain separate.

AutoMotoPart currently lists 7 Nilco items. The largest Nilco groups are 4 fragrance-aerosol entries and 3 glass-cleaner entries. Nilco totals can change, so a category count is orientation rather than proof that a particular reference suits a vehicle, workplace or job. The exact Nilco listing, its current technical information and the item in front of you must agree.

What the Nilco page actually covers

Product group in this rangeCurrent entriesSelection focus
Power Fresh fragrance aerosols4For Power Fresh aerosols, match fragrance, area volume, occupancy/sensitivity, ventilation, burst directions, ignition control and exact H12 safety information.
Nilglass glass and mirror cleaner3For Nilglass, match surface/coating, soil, 500 ml/1 L/5 L dispensing route, undiluted directions, cloth and overspray control.

Seven products are present: four 750 ml Power Fresh aerosols and three Nilglass liquid formats. The fragrance group is currently the larger set, but Nilglass spans the widest volume range at 500 ml, one litre and five litres. Shared Nilco branding does not indicate common chemistry, application, container pressure or waste handling.

Build a reliable shortlist

Start by defining whether the problem is contamination on a surface or an odour in occupied air. If it is an odour, diagnose and remove the source first. If it is a dirty transparent or reflective surface, identify its coating and surrounding materials before selecting cleaner and cloth.

CheckWhy it mattersUseful evidence
FunctionCleaning deposits and adding fragrance are different outcomesSoil/odour source assessment and full Nilco product name
SurfaceGlass, mirror backing, tint, polycarbonate, screens and polished trim may differManufacturer care instruction and discreet compatibility test
FormatTrigger, one-litre and five-litre liquid packs need different handlingContainer size, labelled dispenser and controlled decanting
OccupancyFragrance aerosols can affect people with asthma, sensitivity or scent restrictionsWorkplace policy, consultation and ventilation plan
Fire/exposureAerosol mist, propellant and solvent require can-specific controlsCurrent safety data, ignition survey and COSHH assessment
WasteCleaner cloths and aerosol cans follow the contamination and pressurised-container routeSite waste procedure and product safety information

Do not choose by fragrance strength or bottle volume alone. A large area may need better source control or ventilation rather than more aerosol, while a bulk cleaner pack needs dispensing controls rather than direct pouring onto glass.

Nilglass trigger, one-litre and five-litre formats

The 500 ml trigger is ready for controlled local application. The one-litre title is a larger Nilglass container, while Nilco's official five-litre directions require dispensing into a trigger container. Keep the product name and hazard information on every approved secondary bottle; never top up a bottle containing an unknown cleaner.

The same task may consume very different amounts depending on cloth condition, soil and overspray. Spray sparingly rather than flooding edges, seals or mirror backing. Work from clean upper areas down, turn the cloth frequently and use a separate dry face for final buffing. Replace cloths contaminated with grit, because clear glass can still be scratched by particles carried in the wipe.

Glass, mirrors, windscreens and sensitive finishes

Nilco officially lists most glass, mirrors, windscreens and water-resistant hard non-porous surfaces such as reflective laminates, stainless steel and chrome-plated items. ‘Most’ is not universal compatibility. Check aftermarket tint, anti-reflective coatings, instrument displays, camera lenses, acrylic/polycarbonate and treated windscreens against their manufacturer instructions.

Avoid strong direct sunlight and do not let Nilglass dry before removal. On vehicle glass, prevent liquid from running into dashboard electronics, cameras, speaker openings or mirror housings. Clean both cloth and wiper-contact areas where relevant, but keep the product away from brake, pedal and steering grip surfaces. Inspect from several angles for haze before returning the vehicle.

Power Fresh is an air-freshener aerosol

Citrus, Cranberry, Lavender and Spring Bouquet are scent choices within the 750 ml H12 Power Fresh family. Nilco describes a high-volume burst for large industrial or janitorial areas. That does not prove disinfection, allergen removal, smoke remediation or source elimination. Investigate unusual workshop odours before adding fragrance, especially fuel, battery, electrical or combustion smells.

Plan use when unnecessary occupants are absent and the space can be ventilated. Warn nearby workers and respect fragrance-free areas. Apply only the exact short-burst method on the can, aimed into the supported space and away from surfaces unless the label says otherwise. Never spray inside a vehicle cabin immediately before someone enters, or into ventilation intakes by assumption.

Aerosol ignition, exposure and storage

Read the fragrance-specific safety data before use. Isolate smoking, flames, hot work, heaters, sparks and unsuitable electrical sources within the assessed area. Do not spray into confined spaces or where vapour can collect. General ventilation must be sufficient for the burst and subsequent clearance; fragrance does not demonstrate that vapour levels are safe.

Keep cans upright, cool and protected from sunlight, impact and unauthorised use. Do not pierce, crush, burn or deliberately empty an aerosol, including after it stops spraying. Quarantine leaking or damaged cans using the workplace emergency procedure. Avoid breathing the concentrated spray and use eye/skin or respiratory controls required by the safety data and exposure assessment.

Source control, hygiene and waste

Where an odour comes from waste, drains, damp materials, spills or equipment, isolate and correct that source. Do not aerosolise fragrance over open food, chemical processes or contaminated waste. Clean spillages with the correct method and provide extraction or repair as needed before deciding whether an air freshener is still appropriate.

Nilglass cloths should be segregated from oil, abrasive grit and other cleaners. Dispose of saturated wipes according to what they contain. Return unwanted bulk liquid and aerosols through the site chemical or pressurised-container route, not a surface drain or ordinary recycling bin. Wash hands after handling and keep cleaners and fragrances away from children and food storage.

Record H3 Nilglass and H12 Power Fresh separately in COSHH and stock systems. Keep fragrance, container size and current data-sheet identity with each product so a 750 ml aerosol is never mistaken for liquid glass cleaner or vice versa.

Reading real Nilco references

The Nilco names below are examples from the current range and show why the complete description matters. They are not universal Nilco recommendations and should not be treated as a fitment list. Within Nilco, a shared family word can conceal a different dimension, connector, material, pack format, operating condition or installation side.

Example listingWhat to verify beyond the name
Nilco Citrus - Power Fresh - 750Ml Air Freshener SprayH12 Citrus aerosol, fragrance policy, source diagnosis, ventilation and fire controls
Nilco Cranberry Power Fresh Air Freshener - 750MlH12 Cranberry aerosol, occupancy, burst directions and can disposal
Nilglass Glass & Mirror Cleaner - 1 LitreH3 Nilglass 1 L, compatible surface, undiluted use and labelled trigger route
Nilglass Glass & Mirror Cleaner - 500mlH3 Nilglass 500 ml trigger, test patch, cloth and overspray
Nilglass Glass & Mirror Cleaner - 5 LitreH3 Nilglass 5 L, controlled decanting, bulk storage and surface method
Nilco Lavender - Power Fresh - 750Ml Air Freshener SprayH12 Lavender aerosol, sensitivity, ventilation and ignition controls
Nilco Spring Bouquet Power Fresh Air Freshener - 750MlH12 Spring aerosol, area use, occupancy and exact safety data

The titles clearly separate three Nilglass liquid volumes from four 750 ml Power Fresh aerosols. Preserve H3/H12, format and fragrance in purchasing and safety records; ‘Nilco spray’ is too ambiguous for controlled use.

Common errors around Nilco products

  • Using Power Fresh to mask fuel, electrical, damp, waste or chemical odours without investigation.
  • Assuming fragrance aerosol disinfects, removes smoke contamination or makes air safe.
  • Spraying Power Fresh towards people, animals, food, hot work or ignition sources.
  • Applying Nilglass to a coated screen, tint or plastic without compatibility checks.
  • Diluting Nilglass or letting it dry on a surface in direct sunlight.
  • Pouring from the five-litre pack into an unlabelled or contaminated trigger bottle.
  • Using a gritty cloth and scratching glass or reflective trim.
  • Piercing an aerosol or placing pressurised cans in ordinary recycling without approval.
