What a kit may include

Body-controller monitoring

Modern controllers measure current, voltage or diagnostic pulses and may shut down a shorted output until reset. A bulb can be correct yet remain off while the protected channel stores a fault.

Use scan data and circuit tests before bypassing the controller. External load resistors create substantial heat and should not be improvised.

Access without damage

Handbook access panels may be narrow. Remove air boxes, liners or lamps only by the service method, retaining clips and seals. Do not force a hand between a cooling fan and engine.

Automatic fans can start with the engine off. Isolate where required and keep tools from battery terminals.

Plastic lenses become brittle with age. Use the designated notch and non-marking tool; levering the wrong edge breaks its retaining hook.

Fuse selection

Match blade size, colour/amperage marking and voltage category exactly. The fuse protects wiring; increasing amperage can allow the harness to burn.

If a replacement blows, stop and diagnose the short or overload. Never bridge with foil or wire.

Seals and condensation
