Primer should form an essential part of painting your car. Without it, the topcoat is unlikely to give the finish that you want because of the surface that you’re painting on. Hammerite Red Oxide Primer has been specially developed for use on both bare and rusty iron and steel. Its high performance, anti-corrosive formulation is quick drying and can be used inside and out. Using it will provide a tough, durable finish that is ideal to apply a topcoat to. Comes in red in a 500ml tin. First developed by Allen Forster in 1962, Hammerite paint was one of the first of its kind, in the world of metal specific paints. After a long period within the industry, Hammerite was acquired in 1998 by ICI, the paints specialists.
