Espuma: understand the range before choosing
Espuma Cleaner Solutions produces concentrated vehicle and workshop cleaning chemicals. The current selection is product-led: Rhino 105 traffic-film remover, Revolution wheel cleaner, Savvy tyre dressing, TGB tar and glue solvent, G202 all-purpose cleaner, Fabricare upholstery cleaner, Moto degreaser and Lemon Zing hand cleaner appear with a manual pressure sprayer. Several product titles repeat, so the name, code and container size should be retained.
AutoMotoPart currently lists 21 Espuma items. The largest Espuma groups are 14 vehicle cleaning and detailing entries, 4 hand-cleaning and workshop-hygiene entries, 3 sprayer and general workshop entries. Espuma totals can change, so a category count is orientation rather than proof that a particular reference suits a vehicle, workplace or job. The exact Espuma listing, its current technical information and the item in front of you must agree.
What the Espuma page actually covers
| Product group in this range | Current entries | Selection focus |
|---|---|---|
| Vehicle cleaning and detailing products | 14 | For vehicle cleaners and dressings, confirm product code, surface, soil, dilution, dwell, application equipment, rinse/removal and residue control. |
| Hand-cleaning and workshop-hygiene products | 4 | For workshop hygiene and hand-cleaning products, keep skin-use formulations separate from surface degreasers and follow label, pump and first-aid guidance. |
| Sprayer and general workshop products | 3 | For sprayers and general maintenance items, verify chemical/material compatibility, seals, pressure limit, nozzle, cleaning and labelled storage. |
Twenty-one Espuma entries are currently listed, although several exact product names appear twice. Fourteen relate mainly to vehicle cleaning or dressing, four to hand-cleaning/workshop hygiene and three to sprayer or general maintenance use. Concentrated five- and twenty-five-litre formats dominate, so controlled dispensing and labelled dilution are central to the range.
Build a reliable shortlist
Start with the least aggressive process likely to remove the contamination. Loose grit may need rinsing before chemical contact; oil and tar require different chemistry from ordinary traffic film; leather-like trim and dyed fabric need colour testing. Record the surface and existing wax, coating or refurbishment so cleaning does not remove a finish that was meant to remain.
| Check | Why it matters | Useful evidence |
|---|---|---|
| Surface | Paint, wheel coatings, tyres, textiles, engines, floors and skin need different products | Exact Espuma permitted-surface list and hidden test |
| Soil | Traffic film, brake dust, grease, tar, adhesive and body oils respond differently | Inspection and the least aggressive supported chemistry |
| Dilution | Concentrate strength changes cleaning, residue and material risk | Current label ratio measured for the actual volume |
| Equipment | Pressure washers, extraction machines and hand sprayers have chemical limits | Product instructions and equipment seal/material compatibility |
| Dwell and removal | Drying or incomplete rinsing can stain or leave slippery residue | Cool surface, timed contact and full rinse/extraction |
| Exposure and waste | Mist, splash, solvent vapour and contaminated runoff need controls | Safety data, PPE, ventilation and disposal plan |
Do not assume a stronger dilution saves time. Over-concentration can make rinsing harder and increase damage or exposure. If a patch test softens paint, lifts dye, dulls a wheel finish or leaves rubber slick, stop and choose a supported alternative instead of shortening the dwell on an incompatible chemical.
Rhino traffic-film remover and exterior washing
Espuma's official Rhino 105 page identifies it as a concentrated mild-alkaline traffic-film remover and provides a specific application dilution and pressure-wash method. Use the current label for the container in hand. Pre-wet or cool surfaces where instructed, apply evenly in the stated direction and do not allow the solution to dry before a thorough clean-water rinse.
Pressure washing can drive water into bearings, electrical connectors, vents and damaged seals. Maintain safe nozzle distance and pressure for the vehicle and keep hands out of the jet. Avoid spraying people, animals, open windows and unstable trim. Manage runoff because traffic film can contain oil, metals and road contamination even when the cleaner itself has favourable environmental wording.
Wheel cleaner, tyre dressing and grip surfaces
Revolution wheel cleaner should be matched to the wheel's actual coating and used only when wheels and brakes are cool. Remove loose grit, work one wheel at a time, use dedicated tools and keep within the dwell limit. Polished, anodised, bare, damaged or freshly refurbished finishes may need different care. Rinse around fasteners, valves and calipers without forcing water into sensitive parts.
Savvy tyre dressing belongs only on permitted sidewall and rubber areas. Keep tread, brake discs, pads, floor controls and driving-contact surfaces clean. Do not repeat an old listing's broad non-slip wording as a guarantee for workshop mats; slip performance depends on surface, dose, drying and contamination. Remove excess and check for sling before road use.
Tar solvent, G202 and engine degreasing
TGB tar and glue remover uses solvent action and requires stricter control of ignition, ventilation, substrate test and sprayer compatibility. Work on a small area and remove dissolved contamination with a clean cloth rather than spreading it. Do not use near hot exhausts, sparks, fresh paint or unsupported plastics. Keep the container closed and manage solvent-soaked wipes as hazardous waste.
G202 and Moto are different multipurpose/degreasing products and should not share a guessed dilution. Protect alternators, control units, exposed filters and sensitive labels during engine cleaning, and never clean a hot or running engine. Degreasing may reveal an existing leak but does not repair it. Capture oily runoff and investigate the leak before returning the vehicle to service.
Fabricare, extraction and interior materials
Fabricare is represented as an upholstery cleaner for fabric and trim. Vacuum first and test for dye transfer, water marking, adhesive reaction and texture change. Use the minimum moisture supported by the process, particularly around seat sensors, heating elements, switches and foam. Do not soak headlining because its backing adhesive can release.
If using extraction equipment, follow its approved detergent and anti-foam requirements. Make repeated controlled passes rather than flooding the material, then provide ventilation until fully dry. A clean-looking seat can retain chemical or moisture inside the foam. Keep the vehicle out of use if controls, electrical connectors or restraint components have become wet.
Lemon Zing, sprayers and chemical management
Lemon Zing is a hand-cleaning product and must remain separate from vehicle and floor cleaners. Use it as directed on wet or dry hands, avoid eyes and damaged skin, rinse thoroughly and report persistent irritation. Heavy contamination should be prevented with suitable gloves and work controls rather than scrubbed repeatedly with stronger degreaser.
Before filling the manual sprayer, confirm the tank, seals, hose and nozzle support that exact chemical and concentration. Never use a vessel previously holding an incompatible product without the documented cleaning process. Depressurise before opening, label diluted contents and do not leave a charged sprayer in heat or a vehicle. Store all concentrates upright in bunded or controlled areas away from drains and incompatible chemicals.
From identification to a checked result
| Stage | Good practice for this range | Mistake to avoid |
|---|---|---|
| Assess | Identify surface, soil, previous coating, exposure and runoff | Starting with the strongest concentrate available |
| Verify | Read exact Espuma code, dilution, dwell, equipment and safety data | Copying a ratio from a different cleaner |
| Prepare | Cool/test surface, remove grit, protect components and label mixture | Pouring concentrate into an unmarked bottle |
| Apply and remove | Use controlled spray/agitation, prevent drying and rinse/extract fully | Treating many panels until the first dries |
| Finish | Inspect residue, grip, colour, moisture, tools and waste containment | Returning wet seats or slick tyres to use |
Record the Espuma code, batch container, dilution, surface and application tool for repeat jobs. This prevents a clear 1.5-litre sprayer or unlabelled bucket being mistaken for water and makes an unexpected finish change easier to investigate.
Reading real Espuma references
The Espuma names below are examples from the current range and show why the complete description matters. They are not universal Espuma recommendations and should not be treated as a fitment list. Within Espuma, a shared family word can conceal a different dimension, connector, material, pack format, operating condition or installation side.
| Example listing | What to verify beyond the name |
|---|---|
| Rhino 105 TFR & Degreaser - Concentrate - 5 Litre | Cleaner code, surface/soil, dilution, dwell and rinse |
| Rhino 105 TFR & Degreaser - Concentrate - 25 Litre | Solvent compatibility, ignition/ventilation, cloth and hazardous waste |
| Wheel Cleaner - Revolution - 5 Litre | Tyre/wheel finish, sidewall-only placement and residue removal |
| Tyre Dressing - Savvy Standard - 5 Litre | Sprayer materials, pressure, label, cleaning and depressurisation |
| TGB Tar & Glue Remover Solvent - 5 Litre | Cleaner code, surface/soil, dilution, dwell and rinse |
| G202 All Purpose Cleaner - 5 Litre | Solvent compatibility, ignition/ventilation, cloth and hazardous waste |
| Fabricare Upholstery Cleaner - 5 Litre | Tyre/wheel finish, sidewall-only placement and residue removal |
| Moto Multi-Purpose Cleaner & Degreaser - 25 Litre | Sprayer materials, pressure, label, cleaning and depressurisation |
Names such as Rhino 105, G202, Moto, Revolution and Fabricare refer to distinct formulas. Repeated five-litre titles and generic ‘cleaner’ wording should not lead to shared dilution or surface assumptions.
Common errors around Espuma products
- Using an Espuma concentrate neat because the surface is heavily soiled.
- Allowing traffic-film or wheel cleaner to dry on the vehicle.
- Putting solvent tar remover into a sprayer without chemical-compatibility data.
- Cleaning a hot engine or directing pressure spray into electrical components.
- Applying tyre dressing to tread, brakes, pedals or an unverified floor surface.
- Soaking upholstery, headlining or seats containing electronics.
- Using vehicle degreaser as a hand cleaner.
- Leaving diluted chemical in an unlabelled bottle or pressurised sprayer.
