If the AutoMotoPart title does not show a PCT code, do not use the description's fitting time or load figures to guess its vehicle. Obtain the code and application record first. Two bars can share a flange neck yet differ completely in beam, brackets, approval and fixing pattern.
Fixed flange and vertical-detachable choices
A fixed flange design uses a bolted towball or compatible coupling on the faceplate and can support certain accessories where every component is approved. It remains visible and creates a fixed projection. A vertical-detachable design removes the neck from its receiver; it needs the exact insertion, positive locking and indication checks before every use. Detachment does not change the vehicle's approved load.
Choose the neck style after confirming the vehicle application and intended trailer, stabiliser or carrier. The live description instead states 115 kg, so the discrepancy must be resolved against the actual towbar mark, latest PCT instructions and vehicle limits before use. Do not extend HY4580 data to Kia Sportage, an earlier Tucson LM, a 2020-on Tucson or another body. The vehicle manufacturer's permitted load can be lower than the bar's value or towing may be prohibited for a particular derivative.
50 mm towballs and ball-and-pin hitches
PCT's official silver 50 mm Coverall towball is marked A50-X, D 17.2 kN and S 350 kg. Those component ratings do not grant a 350 kg vehicle nose load: the lowest limit in the complete combination controls. Confirm two-bolt faceplate pattern, fastener grade, ball height, stabiliser clearance and whether the trailer coupling requires a clean dry ball or another specified condition.
A ball-and-pin hitch combines a 50 mm ball with a pin arrangement for a compatible towing eye. Identify the exact hitch approval, D/S or gross combination limits, pin diameter, jaw opening, locking/retention method and trailer coupling. Never place a mismatched eye over the ball, improvise a pin or use the assembly for recovery/snatching unless its manufacturer explicitly approves that distinct operation.
Structural fitting and torque control
