Engine families differ beyond i-VTEC wording

CVT fluid is a calibrated friction material
Use the exact Honda-specified CVT fluid for the unit and production range. Generic automatic fluid can alter start-clutch, pulley or belt friction. Drain quantity does not necessarily equal total capacity, so follow the stated level and circulation process.
Judder can arise from degraded fluid, mounts, driveshaft joints, engine operation or internal wear. Record temperature and operating conditions. A flush or additive should not be used to conceal a mechanical fault.
